Privacy Policy
Last updated: 09/24/2026
Doctor’s Transport Services provides non-emergency medical transportation in Sarasota County, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or request a ride, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If you have a question about anything here, call us at (941) 924-4990 or email kenny@doctorstransport.com.
Information You Give Us
When you request a ride or contact us, we ask for the information we need to plan the trip and reach you.
That usually includes the rider’s name and phone number, your name and phone number if you are booking for someone else, an email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses, the date and time of the trip, and the type of transportation the rider needs, such as wheelchair, stretcher, or ambulatory.
We also ask whether the rider uses portable oxygen, whether there are stairs at either address, and whether anyone is riding along. We ask these questions so we can send the right vehicle and the right help.
If a facility or organization is paying for the ride, we collect the facility name, a billing contact, and a billing email.
We Do Not Ask for Medical Details
Our forms ask about mobility needs, not about diagnoses, conditions, or medications. Please do not include medical information in the notes field.
If you do send us medical information anyway, we keep it confidential and use it only to arrange your transportation.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, our analytics and security tools collect standard technical information. This includes your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the website or ad that sent you to us.
We use this to understand how people find and use the site, and to keep the site working and protected from spam.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you give us to:
Confirm and schedule your transportation, and call or text you about the details of your trip.
Match the right vehicle, equipment, and driver to the rider’s needs.
Bill you or bill the facility that arranged the ride.
Answer your questions and respond to your messages.
Keep records of trips we have provided, as required for our business and insurance.
Improve our website and our service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, and we do not trade it.
Text Messages and Phone Calls
When you give us your phone number and check the consent box on our form, you agree that we may call or text you about your ride request.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages from us, or reply HELP for help. You can also call us at (941) 924-4990 and ask us to stop.
We do not share your phone number or your consent to receive text messages with third parties for their own marketing.
When We Share Information
We share information only when it is needed to provide the service or when the law requires it.
With the Facility That Arranged or Is Paying for the Ride
If a hospital, nursing home, rehabilitation center, dialysis center, or other facility arranged your transportation or is being billed for it, we share the trip details with that facility so they can coordinate your care and process payment.
With Companies That Help Us Operate
We use outside companies for website hosting, form submissions, email, analytics, payment processing, and spam protection. These companies can access only the information they need to do their job for us, and they are not allowed to use it for anything else.
When the Law Requires It
We share information if we are required to by law, a subpoena, or a court order, or when we need to protect the safety of a rider, our staff, or the public.
If Our Business Changes Hands
If our company is sold or merged, customer information may transfer to the new owner as part of that transaction. The information would stay subject to this policy.
Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies.
Some are necessary for the site and the forms to work. Others help us measure traffic and understand which pages people use.
We use Google Analytics to measure website traffic, Google Ads to measure whether our advertising is working, and Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from spam. These services are governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a site is using them. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you turn cookies off.
How We Protect Your Information
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to arrange or bill your transportation. Our website uses encryption, and our form submissions are stored in access-controlled systems.
No website or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. We do work to protect your information and to correct problems if they happen.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep trip and billing records for as long as we need them for our business, our insurance, and our tax and legal obligations.
We keep website analytics data for a shorter period, and it is not tied to your name.
If you want us to delete information we hold about you, call (941) 924-4990 or email kenny@doctorstransport.com and we will tell you what we can remove and what we are required to keep.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we have about you.
You can ask us to correct information that is wrong.
You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.
You can tell us to stop texting or calling you about anything other than a ride you have already booked.

Our website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this website.
If you are booking transportation for a minor, we collect only what we need to transport that rider safely, and we collect it from the parent, guardian, or facility making the request.
Links to Other Websites
Our site may link to other websites, such as a hospital or a health resource. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information. Read their privacy policies before sharing anything with them.

If the change is significant, we will make it clear on the website.
